William C. "Bill" Sutton, age 88, passed away August 19, 2017. Bill was born March 20, 1929 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He was former member of the Kentucky National Guard. In 1956 Bill and his family moved west to Denver to establish W.C. Sutton Company, a hardwood flooring business. He worked in hardwood flooring his whole career, retiring from Denver Hardwood in 2009 at age 80. Bill was a devoted Christian and active in his church throughout his life. William C. "Bill" Sutton, age 88, passed away August 19, 2017. Bill was born March 20, 1929 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He was former member of the Kentucky National Guard. In 1956 Bill and his family moved west to Denver to establish W.C. Sutton Company, a hardwood flooring business. He worked in hardwood flooring his whole career, retiring from Denver Hardwood in 2009 at age 80. Bill was a devoted Christian and active in his church throughout his life. His hobbies included yard work and car racing. He loved his family and friends and especially loved watching his grandson's car races. Bill was loved and respected by all who knew him, he never met a stranger! He will be missed greatly by his family: his wife of 67 years on September 1 Wilma of Arvada, Colorado, daughter Judy Smith of Amarillo, Texas, son Mark (Jan) Sutton of Arvada, Colorado, grandson Nic (Katie) Sutton of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, great grandson Calais Sutton, brother Joe (Betty) Sutton of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Ruby Unklesbay of Murphysboro, Kentucky. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 4-8:00pm at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace, interment and reception to follow. Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Cemetery & Arboretum, Wheat Ridge, CO.
