Frances Mary Hawkins-Wright, born Frances Mary Dixon was a spunky small town Iowa girl. Born on May 11, 1931 she grew up with her five siblings, Bob, Marg, Ceil, Catherine and Josephine in Iowa. It was there and during her adolescent years where she cultivated her love of dance and sewing. In her adult years she always loved a good cup of coffee and her desert of choice was ice cream and angel food cake. She met her first husband George Hawkins whom she married. She and George would go on to have seven wonderful children. Connie who sadly passed at birth, Elizabeth, Paul, Theodore, Rita, Robert and Ann were the light of their lives. She had a long career as a nurse's aide, loved spending time with her family and never went out without her lipstick on. Unfortunately, her dear husband George passed away in 1986. Ten years later she would catch the eye and love of another handsome gentleman by the name of Raymond Wright. She and Ray exchanged vows in front of all of their loved ones on April 20, 1996 at the Shrine of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Arvada, Colorado. From Ray, she would gain an even larger family. Together, they would travel, spend time with their family, which now included grandchildren, and help to teach them the ways of the world. During her marriage to Ray, she would also have to endure the passings of her daughter Rita and son Paul.

Frances was a devoted wife, loving mother, and an unforgettable grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a dream of becoming a great-grandmother, and that dream was realized and her life was complete. Frances took her last breath in the early morning hours on May 18, 2017 with her loving husband by her side. Her passing was preceded by her siblings Bob Dixon, Marg Nelson-Dixon, Ciel Gilmour and Josephine Brenamen. She is survived by her husband Ray, children Elizabeth (Craig) Burnett, Theodore Hawkins, Robert Hawkins and Ann (Steven) Garrett, John Turano, Estelle Hawkins, Gina (Stephen) Luibel, Jody (Ron) Ewig and Ray (Carol) Wright Jr., twenty-four grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
